RHI unveils key executive movements


Roxas Holdings, Inc. (RHI; PSEi: ROX) yesterday unveiled key executive movements in line with a new responsibility structure put in place for the sugar group.
 
Executive Chairman Pedro E. Roxas said the new appointments and promotions will strengthen the reporting lines for the Group’s subsidiaries and align the respective units’ initiatives to focus more on profitability.
 
Under the new setup, President and CEO Renato C. Valencia moves up as Vice Chairman and CEO for RHI, and is designated to head Central Azucarera Don Pedro, Inc. (CADPI) in Batangas. 
 
Archimedes B. Amarra, Executive Vice President for Marketing, Trading, Corporate Planning and Corporate Communications, is appointed as President/Chief Operating Officer of Central Azucarera de la Carlota, Inc. (CACI) in Negros Occidental. 
 
Louie O. Villa-Abrille, Vice President/Chief Operating Officer of Roxol Bioenergy Corporation, steps up as President/COO and concurrently serves as Acting Head of Operations who will exercise advisory oversight over the subsidiaries’ Vice Presidents-Resident Managers. 
 
The appointments of Armando B. Escobar, Chief Finance Officer (CFO) of parent firm Roxas and Company, Inc., who has been seconded to RHI as Executive Vice President and CFO, and Juan Miguel J. Araneta, as Senior Vice President of Purchasing, Logistics and Special Projects, were also confirmed. 
 
Felixberto T. Monasterio, Vice President – Deputy Head of Sales & Marketing, is appointed 
as Head of Corporate Planning, Stakeholder Relations and Corporate Communications. 
Mr. Monasterio is concurrently the Deputy Head for Marketing & Trading.
 
Thelma C. Rodriguez, Assistant Vice President for Internal Audit, has been promoted as Vice President for Internal Audit.
