MVP elected as RHI's Vice Chairman

Roxas Holdings, Inc. (RHI) (ROX.PM) today announced the election of businessman Manuel V. Pangilinan as Vice Chairman of its Board of Directors.

RHI Chairman Pedro E. Roxas said Mr. Pangilinan was elected by the Board in its regular meeting last week.

Mr. Pangilinan is the founder and CEO of First Pacific Company Limited (142.HK), which recently invested up to 34% in RHI. He is also Chairman of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPI.PM), the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (TEL.PM), Manila Electric Co. (MER.PM) and many other leading companies here and overseas.

Together with Mr. Pangilinan, Atty. Ray C. Espinosa and Atty. Alex Erlito S. Fider were elected to replace and serve the unexpired terms of three directors who resigned, namely: Ms. Beatriz O. Roxas, Mr. Raul M. Leopando and Mr. Senen C. Bacani.

Atty. Espinosa is the Associate Director of First Pacific, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the PLDT Beneficial Trust Fund, the General Counsel of Manila Electric and sits as director in several companies.

Atty. Fider is a director and corporate secretary of several Philippine corporations, including Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation, Smart Communications, Inc. and Maynilad Water Services, Inc. He is a senior partner of Picazo Buyco Tan Fider Santos Law Office.
